environmentally friendly subsurface irrigation installation

Soil Testing
We offer a variety of flow rates for our Below Flow products (see specification data for more info) because various soil types have different water absorbing capabilities.  We always recommend performing a soil test before the installation of Below Flow, since every situation is different, and  the numbers listed are approximate values from our past experiences. It is important to perform a KISSS soil test because it determines:

  1. Spacing for Below Flow
  2. Depth of Below Flow products
  3. Duration and frequency of irrigation cycles
  4. Soil amendments you may want to consider for optimum plant health and water holding ability

Installation and the KISSS Plow:
Using our specialized KISSS Plow machine, Below Flow WRAP can be "plowed" into the ground.  The Plow was exclusively engineered to install KISSS Below Flow systems with minimal disturbance to the existing surface.
The KISSS Plow uses a shank and coulter disk design to reel the KISSS material off of the plow and into the ground at your pre-selected depth. (Click KISSS Plow for more information.)

KISSS Below Flow FLAT is plowed into the ground four to twelve inches depending on the application.  Below Flow FLAT subsurface irrigation is best installed with our KISSS Plow. It can install up to four lines at once, similar to the current drip tape technology on the market today.  The KISSS plow can be purchased, leased, or you may use one of our KISSS certified installers for your application.  Please contact Sustainable Engineering Solutions for details.
