Below Flow Flat subsurface capillary irrigation installation

Below Flow Flat is laid in lateral lines according to predetermined spacing that is found using a proprietary soil test that reflects that particular soils capillary action.  It is installed using a specially designed plow that carefully makes a precise seam in the soil, lays the material underneath the sliced seam, and then closes the seam.

KISSS Below Flow Flat is easy to install with the specialized KISSS Plow

The lines are laid laterally across the field or area and connected by a header and footer pipe.  Connected to the header pipe coming off of the main line are the EZ FLO fertigation tank, filter, flow meter, pressure regulator and zone valves.  At end of the line there are flush valves used for cleaning the system and are utilized as needed depending on the type of water being used in the system.

Below Flow is also installed on prepared ground in a new installation.  The material is laid down on the ground between header and footer pipes (or weave throughout an area if doing a serpentine installation) and pinned to the ground using some type of ground staples much like the ones used in a drip irrigation installation.

This is an excellent option to install KISSS irrigation, because the system can be tested visually to ensure proper installation procedures were followed. Remember, special care must be taken when backfilling these types of installations.
