In one greenhouse, the grower planned to replace his old, unsightly benches at the cost of over $3,000 per bench. He found that he could keep the benches and obtain the superior Ebb and Flow MAT system at less than half the cost of replacing the benches.
Ebb and Flow MAT is easily integrated into any nursery. It can be placed on top of existing outdoor beds, ground cover or greenhouse benches and connected to existing water supply systems.
If necessary, fine gravel (1/8 – 3/16”) can be used to fill depressions and help create an even grade. If desired existing overhead irrigation systems can be left in place to minimize cost or to provide a back-up system.
